The green toolbox pages help students improve their breathing in a playful way.
The ‘WICKED WITCHES’ game for example is a great way to work on breathing with your students in a playful way. The toolbox contains two worksheets: one designed for individual flute lessons and one to use in groupal classes. Using the individual ‘Wicked Witches’ page, the student will repeat the breathing exercise 3 times each day and will write down the highest score of the day. In the group lesson each student has his or her own plastic (transparent) cup with magical water to blow. The plastic cup has to be transparent so other students can visually see how long the student is exhaling. Whenever a student can exhale the amount of seconds that is written down on the 'Wicked Witches' page, he or she can paste a sticker and go to the next kettle.
Another game out of this bundle is the ‘SNORKELING’ game and helps young flutists warm up their breathing and their sound production at the beginning of their flute lesson.
