Hello! And welcome to the Kitchen Orchestra + Orffestra Teacher Bundle. Thank you for joining me on this new flute adventure created especially for young flutists and anyone eager for something that's a little "out of the box"! These scores were created to inspire flutists and musicians of all ages and encourage ensemble playing at home while discovering new sounds, developing instrumental skills, all while having FUN!
Inspired during my Orff Level 1 training, it is important to note that this music is intended to be taught by rote. By teaching through language, echo, listening, body percussion, movement, and more, I hope these orffestrations are easily accessible to all requiring little to no musical experience to play together and have fun!
What's especially neat about these arrangements is that the Kitchen Orchestra parts can be transferred onto real percussion instruments in the Orffestra! While the flute part in all arrangements is to be played by a flutist, instrumentalist, or vocalist (!), the Kitchen Orchestra parts can be played by anyone! When playing the Orffestra arrangements on percussion instruments, some musical experience is an asset but not required.
