Tiny Toots First Flute Book - Pre-Reader
Created for teachers working with nuvo TooTs and small children, this book was designed to help your tiniest pre-music-reading students start playing familiar songs from their very first lessons.
The book includes 11 songs, beginning with the first lesson's 3-note "Hot Cross Buns" and gradually working up to the more challenging "Pop! Goes the Weasel"!
The pieces stay within the easy range of the TooT and are all in C major, keeping to the fingerings that are consistent with the silver flute to facilitate an easy transition when your students are ready.
Notes are colour-coded, large format and easy to recognize for your mini flutists, and the lyrics to all the songs are included so you can sing them together first!

Tiny Toots First Flute Book - Pre-Reader Parent Help Book
Created for teachers who want to help their nuvo TooT students' parents help their kids between lessons, this book is a parent help book designed to accompany the Tiny TooTs: First Flute Book (Pre-Reading).
The book covers the 11 songs from the Pre-Reading book, and works with the same colour-coded, large-format notes, but replaces the lyrics with fingering diagrams so parents can play along or help out if the student gets stuck between lessons.
This is a great resource for students who have trouble remembering their fingerings, too!
Also included is a legend to help even non-musician parents help their TooT-playing children practise.
The books can be used individually, or bound together with the pieces side-by-side to help parents help their children practise or to help students make the connections between the music notation and the simplified notation. Mix and match, or keep it simple - you get to choose!
With almost 30 years experience as a private instructor, Amy is in love with teaching flute. Always dreaming up fun new ways to tackle the challenges students face, her students learn while laughing! As a member of the Nova Scotia Registered Music Teachers' Association and a flute specialist for the Halifax and South Shore Centres of Education, Amy works to create a community of flutists who learn together and support each other. An active flute clinician at national-level music festivals, Amy was a lecturer at Western University's Faculty of Music, has extensive musical theatre, orchestral, and session experience, and has performed across North America and Europe as a classical and traditional Irish flutist. Living in Nova Scotia, Amy loves being close to the ocean with all of the beautiful beaches close by, the gorgeous water [teal - her favourite colour] and getting to work with all of the wonderful O'Neill Flute Studio families.
